Special Chocolate Chip Cookies

Betty's Special Drop Cookies

 Betty's Special Chocolate Chip Cookies
 
 
2 1/2 cups    oatmeal  
1 cup    butter  
1 cup    sugar  
1 cup    brown sugar  
2   eggs  
1 tsp    vanilla  
2 cups    flour  
1/2 tsp    salt  
1 tsp    baking powder  
1 tsp    baking soda  
1/2 cup    chocolate chips  
4 oz    chocolate, grated  
 
1 Preheat oven to 375*
2 Grate the chocolate bar and reserve.
3 In your food processor, process the oatmeal until a flour consistency. Reserve.
4 In the processor, cream the butter with the sugars. Add the eggs and vanilla and process 8 times, just to mix.
5 In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients, including the chocolates. Mix in the wet ingredients, and stir well.
6 Drop batter onto greased cookie sheet, or line your sheet with parchment paper, by the rounded teaspoonful.
7 Bake for 9-11 minutes, just until lightly browned.
