Artichoke Dip Recipe

You may notice that this artichoke dip recipe is a bit higher in sodium than most of the recipes on Cooking-For-Compliments.com, but I do like to serve this at parties.

One of the easy ways to remedy the sodium content is to use low sodium cheese, it melts just as creamy as traditional cheese.

Hot appetizer recipes like this one are some of the best options to make for any time you need a Holiday appetizer recipe, or perhaps some football appetizers that are really satisfying.

To keep your artichoke dip warm for hours, simply keep it in your crockpot turned to low.

Hot appetizer recipes like this artichoke dip recipe make the best appetizers. Sometimes, I just put this appetizer out on the table, surrounded by either chips or bread slices for spreading the dip on.

I don't worry about the dip becoming room temperature, as it is usually gone before it would ever spoil.

Artichoke Dip Recipe

 Artichoke Dip

Served with crackers or bread slices, this is one of the easiest appetizers we have had the pleasures to taste.

16 oz    frozen artichoke hearts
1 cup    grated mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup    grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup    low sodium or homemade mayonnaise
1   clove garlic
1/2 cup    breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp    paprika
2 Tbs    melted unsalted butter

1 Preheat your oven to 325* You will be browning the dip, then placing the crock into your crockpot appliance to keep it warm for serving.
2 Peel and crush the garlic into a bowl. Mix in the artichoke hearts, cheeses, and mayonnaise.
3 Spray your crockpot insert with non-stick cooking spray. Pour the mixture into the crock. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the top, dust with the paprika and drizzle it with the melted butter.
4 Place the crock into the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, until golden.
5 Transfer the dip to your slow cooker and set the heat to low.
6 This is ready to eat now, and will keep ready for up to four hours in the slow cooker.
7 Serve with veggie slices, bread slices or crackers. Bread sticks are another good choice for dipping.
