The Best Beef Stroganoff Recipe

We love this beef stroganoff recipe, because it's easy and very quick to get on the table.

Make this easy beef stroganoff anytime you need a 30 minute meal!

I like to buy the London Broil when it is on sale, and then slice it up and freeze it in zip-type bags. When I need fast, healthy meal some of the prep work is then already done.

When you work with frozen sliced beef, cook at a lower temperature, and allow a few extra minutes for cooking.

Beef Stroganoff Recipe with Noodles

 Beef Stroganoff with Noodles

1   onion
1   red bell pepper
1 1/2 lbs    beef london broil
2 Tbs    olive oil
1/4 tsp    freshly ground black pepper
2 Tbs    balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup    dry white wine
1 1/2 cups    sliced mushrooms
1 tsp    basil
1/2 cup    sour cream
2 Tbs    flour

1 Slice the onion and the red pepper, set aside. Slice the beef into thin, 2" strips.
2 In a large pan, cook the noodles as package directs, without adding salt to the water.
3 As the noodles cook, in a large skillet, heat the oil and add the beef, onion slices and red pepper slices. Cook over medium heat for a few minutes, until the beef is browned on all sides. Sprinkle the meat with pepper and the vinegar. Cook and stir over medium heat until the beef is done to your taste. Remove from the heat.
4 Add the wine, mushrooms and the basil to the pan and cook over medium heat until the mushrooms have softened and the liquid is absorbed somewhat by half.
5 Stir in the flour and cook, stirring often, until the sauce begins to thicken. Add the sour cream, stir to blend. Return the meat to the skillet and heat through.
6 Serve over the drained noodles.
