Champagne Pork Chops

champagne pork chops

This Champagne Pork Chops recipe are very quick to make, and it looks lovely to serve.

How long do I cook pork chops? Unlike other meats, pork should never be served rare, or undercooked.

This easy recipe uses a thinner cut of meat and cooks faster in your skillet, unlike other recipes that use a dry oven.

Using the skillet to quick brown the pork chops will sear the outside, leaving the inside moist and tender, not dried out.

The sauce is rich and heavenly!

Since you will be using boneless pork chops, they will cook up faster than bone-in pork chops.

Be certain your skillet is hot before you add the pork, that way they will sear and brown nicely for you.

I like to pair pork chop recipes with a corn side dish. Slip in a simple salad and you have a full meal in minutes!

Low Salt Pork ChopsPork Chops With Champagne Sauce

Champagne Pork Chops

2 Tbs flour
1/4 tsp pepper
1 lb boneless center loin chops, portioned into 4 chops
2 Tbs unsalted butter
3/4 cup champagne or dry white wine
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup sliced button mushrooms
1 Combine flour with pepper. Lightly dredge the pork chops in the flour mixture.
2 Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
3 Add the chops and cook for 2-4 minutes on each side, just until lightly browned. Add the champagne and continue to cook for another five to seven minutes. Remove the chops from the pan. (they will continue to cook for a few minutes away from the heat, and you will be cooking them for a few more minutes later on)
4 Add the cream and the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook over low heat, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened slightly.
5 Return the chops to the pan and heat through. The pork chops are done when they are "fork tender" - (your fork will not stick when the chop is pierced).
6 Place Champagne Pork Chops on individual plates and top with sauce.
