Chili Con Frijoles (chili with beans)


So many ways to serve chili con frijoles, it is an easy to make, easy Mexican recipe dish, and limited only by your imagination.

 Chili With Beans
 
 
2 lbs    ground beef  
1   onion, chopped  
1 tsp    salt free seasoning like Also Salt  
1/2 tsp    ground black pepper  
1 Tbs    chili powder  
1/2 tsp    cumin seed  
1   16 oz can low sodium tomato sauce  
1   28 oz can low sodium tomatoes, undrained  
2   15oz cans kidney or pinto beans  
 
1 Cook meat and onion until browned and crumbly. Drain off excess fat.
2 Add seasonings, tomato sauce and tomatoes (cut tomatoes into bite-sized pieces if too large).
3 Simmer over low heat for 3 hours. Add beans and continue to cook for 45 minutes longer.
