Preheat oven to 350* |

Heat the semi-sweet chocolate pieces with the butter in a small saucepan until the chocolate begins to melt. Remove from heat. Cool for 10 minutes. |

Stir in the brown sugar, whole egg, egg whites, corn syrup water and vanilla. |

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. |

Add the chocolate mixture to the flour mixture and stir until well blended. |

Drop by tablespoons, 2" apart (they will spread) onto lightly greased cookie sheets. |

Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set. Cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes. |
