Cranberry Salad Recipe
When you think of a cranberry salad recipe, thoughts of canned, jellied cranberry salad come to mind. These salads are 99% pure sugar, is that what you want to serve your family? | Think fresh, think tossed greens enhanced with crisp apples an da wonderful FRESH cranberry salad dressing drizzled over the salad. Yes, this green salad recipe calls for a bit of sugar, and some honey, but you can adjust how much or how little you actually use without any adverse effects. I just happen to have a sweet tooth, so I do use the recipe as is.

Cranberry Salad Recipe Walnut Tossed Salad | Cranberry Salad Tossed with Apples | | | | | | 1/4 cup | | balsamic vinegar | | | 1/4 cup | | fresh or frozen cranberries | | | 2 Tbs | | honey | | | 1 Tbs | | sugar | | | 1 Tbs | | chopped red onion | | | 1/4 tsp | | pepper | | | 3/4 cup | | vegetable oil | | | 1 lb | | mixed lettuce (we used 2 bags of mixed baby lettuces) | | | 3 | | red delicious apples | | | 1 cup | | chopped walnuts | | | | | | | For the dressing: | | 1 | Combine the first six ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. With the motor running, slowly add the oil in a steady stream. Reserve in a serving container. | | For the Tossed Salad: | | 1 | Wash and dry the lettuce. Tear into bite size pieces into a large serving bowl. | | 2 | Slice the apples into thin slices, removing the core and seeds, but leaving the peel. Add to the lettuce along with the red onion and the nuts.
