Red Enchilada Sauce



You will never go back to canned sauce once you have experienced this flavorful red enchilada sauce.

Red Sauce

 Enchilada Sauce
 
 
1 10.5oz    beef stock  
1/4 cup    melted butter  
1/2 cup    flour  
8 cloves    garlic, pressed  
2 8 oz    cans tomato sauce  
2 tbs    chili powder  
1 tsp    sage  
1 tsp    cumin seed  
 
1 Pour beef stock into a measuring cup and add enough water to equal 2 cups.
2 Add flour to melted butter
3 Combine all ingredients and stir until smooth.
4 Cook over medium heat until slightly thickened and very smooth.
 
Servings: 6
Yield: 4 cups
