Focaccia Bread Recipe



Your finished focaccia bread recipe should be soft, and light. It's the perfect homemade bread recipe for cutting into long strips as a rustic breadstick for most any meal.

It's a very low sodium recipe, so that you can feel good about making and serving this fun to bake bread.

I use the bread machine to do all the work, and simply roll it out into the desired shape, let rise and finish off in a hot oven.



Italian Bread recipe - focaccia bread recipe

 Focaccia
 
 
2 1/4 tbs    dry yeast  
1 cup    water  
1 Tbs    sugar  
1/4 cups    olive oil  
2 3/4 cups    bread flour  
2 cloves    garlic, pressed  
2 Tbs    olive oil  
 
1 Place yeast through flour into your bread machine and set to dough cycle.
2 When cycle is completed, Punch down dough and form into a loaf shape with your hands.
3 Preheat oven to 375º
4 Combine the garlic with the TB olive oil and brush on top of the dough.
5 Bake for about 25 minutes.
6 NOTE: This is plain Focaccia, you may with to add more toppings before you bake it. Suggested toppings are: fresh or dried basil to taste, crushed rosemary, or any combination of herbs you feel like.
7 This can be used for paninis, for dipping in oil at the table, croutons or???
