Herbed Burgers for the Grill or the Broiler

quick ground beef recipes

1 1/2 lbs freshly ground chuck
1/8 cup butter
2 Tbs minced parsley
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp sage
1/2 tsp oregano
1 Freeze the butter for at least one hour.
2 In a large bowl, gently seperate the meat into small chunks.
3 In a small bowl mix together all the spices.
4 Grate the frozen butter into the meat bowl. Add the mixed spices and gently mix with your fingers until loosely blended. Be careful not to over mix, or your burgers will be tough.
5 Form 8 large patties, 1/3" thick each. Make a small depression in the center of each one and grill on preheated grill. Avoid the urge to press the patties down, the juices formed will add flavor and moisture to your meal.
