Italian Bread Recipes and Pizza Doughs

Italy is not only famous for it's pasta, but also the wonderful Italian bread recipes that are showcased in it's colorful markets.

Pizza dough and soft roll doughs, along with made-for-your-bread machine breads are the recipes you will find on the following pages.

It wouldn't be a complete Italian meal is you didn't offer that wonderful, hot from your oven bread stick to sop up the delicious sauce.

Or the garlic bread that is an expected accompaniment with most pasta courses. Focaccia and peasant breads get their charm and texture use to the absence of sugar in the recipe..

The rustic crusts on an Italian loaf of bread are evident of this, compared to that of the French bread.

Whatever your meal plans are, if it's Italian, it is certain to have plenty of homemade bread. Most of these recipes are achieved with the help of a bread machine.

The Cuisinart Automatic Convection Bread Machine is by far the BEST bread machine we have ever used (and we have used most of the top brands over the past several years).

italian bread recipes can be easily created in the cuisinart automatic bread machine featured here, from Amazon.
Cuisinart has perfected the bread machine by incorporating several unique cycles such as artisan and low carb cycles that out perform most every other automatic bread machine on the market today.

And certainly, of course, you may always mix and rise your doughs without a machine. Keep the proportions the same and you should have great results.

First, proof the yeast in the liquid which should be warmed to aprox 100*.

Then, mix all, let rise in a warm place for one hour, punch down and shape, let rise again for an additional hour, then bake.

Normal bread baking is at 375* for aprox 25 minutes. Roll will take a shorter bake period, usually about 12 minutes.
