Italian Grilled Cheese Recipe
This Italian Grilled Cheese Recipe is not a true low sodium recipe, but as it is one of our favorite easy vegetarian recipes, I did want to include it on this site. | This scumptious grilled sandwich will take your appreciation of regular grilled cheese to a new level.
Easy to make and even more FUN to eat! A truly yummy sandwich that your friends and family will come to ask for again and again.

Italian Grilled Cheese | Italian Grilled Cheese | | | | | | 4 slices | | Italian Bread, 1" thick slices | | | 4 oz | | mozzarella cheese, sliced | | | 3 | | eggs | | | 1/2 cup | | milk | | | 3/4 tsp | | Italian seasoning | | | 1/8 tsp | | garlic powder | | | 1 cup | | Italian breadcrumbs | | | | | | | 1 | Cut a 3" pocket in each slice of bread. Place 1/4 of the cheese in each bread pocket. | | 2 | Preheat a griddle to 325*. (or panini press to medium) | | 3 | In a bowl, beat the eggs, milk seasoning and garlic powder. | | 4 | Soak the bread for 2 minutes on each side in the egg mixture. | | 5 | Coat each sandwich with the breadcrumbs. | | 6 | Cook sandwiches on the preheated griddle (or press) until golden.
