Spiced Caribbean Jerk Pork Chops


Caribbean Jerk Pork Chops

 Caribbean Jerk Pork Chops
 
 
We like to serve this up with a rice pilaf and lime wedges, and a simple green vegetable on the side.
 
4   pork chops, boneless center-cut  
1   jalapeño, seeded  
4 Tbs    minced Onions  
1 Tbs    allspice  
1 Tbs    thyme  
1 Tbs    orange zest  
1 Tbs    honey  
1 tsp    cinnamon  
 
1 Preheat your broiler to high.
2 In a blender or food processor, Add all ingredients, except the pork. Process until smooth.
3 Rub the spice mixture evenly on all sides of the chops. Cover and refrigerator for 15 minutes while the broiler heats.
4 Broil the pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side, depending upon thickness. Test with a sharp knife to insure that there is no longer any pink in the middle.
5 Serve with lime wedges, if desired.
