BBQ Grilling Tips:

  • After forming the patties, make a slight depression in the center of each one. The result will be hamburgers off the grill that are evenly thick, evenly cooked, and no chewy edges.

  • Invest in good meat. For the juiciest hamburgers the meat should have a fat content of at least 18%. Leaner meats provide for tough, dry burgers.

  • Mix your seasonings in very gently. The more you handle the meat, the tougher your end burger will be. In a large bowl, spread the meat lightly with your fingertips and gently mix in the seasonings just until loosely mixed.

  • And, lastly:Resist the urge to press down the patties when you are grilling. This juice that forms is your key to added flavor and moisture.

Don't forget to keep a spray bottle of water and a container of salt near your grill for flare-ups!
