Top Lamb Recipes

Lamb recipes are traditionally French ... Americans shy away from meat that appears to be undercooked, or nearly pink near the center.

With the exception of ground lamb, you will find that lamb is best enjoyed at a medium rare stage of doneness.

Lamb chops are cut from the loin, rack and shoulder. Loin chops are by far the best choice. Loin type chops should be cut thick, at least 2 inches, and are excellent on the grill or broiled.

You will find that lamb is naturally low in sodium, making a good choice for a low salt - low sodium diet.

Lamb chops are a luxury these days. If you do plan to serve lamb, splurge on the very best you can afford. Select thick, fresh chops for your lamb chop recipes and allowing 1 large, or 2 smaller chops per serving.
