Traditional Linguine with Clam Sauce

Imagine having dinner on the table in under 20 minutes? That is how EASY this Traditional Linguine with Clam Sauce Recipe is!

Snow's brand clam juice is lower in sodium that it's competitors. Although there is only a 30 mg per TB difference, this can really add up.

Naturally, you may use fresh clamsin this Linguine with Clam Sauce recipe, but canned clams will work as well.

There are many different types of clams, the very tiny ones are what is called for here.

This clam sauce recipe quickly transforms cupboard ingredients into a warm entree with style.

Linguine with Fresh White Clam Sauce

Linguine with Clam Sauce
3 Tbs unsalted butter
1 Tbs olive oil
3 cloves garlic
1 onion
2 Tbs flour
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 cup Snow's clam juice
1 Tbs lemon juice
1/2 cup half and half cream
1/2 tsp dried marjoram
2 Tbs chopped parsley
1 lb linguine
20 oz chopped clams
Using canned clams is perfectly fine with this dish.
1 Mince the garlic and the onion. Saute them in the butter and olive oil for 2-3 minutes.
2 Add the flour and cook over medium heat for 1 minute. Add the wine and the juices, simmer until slightly thickened.
3 Add the cream and the parsley, simmering uncovered for 3 minutes.
4 Cook the linguine for 5 minutes, drain and reserve.
5 When the sauce is almost done, add the clams and any juices to the sauce and heat through.
6 toss the sauce with the pasta and serve.
