Low Sodium Bread Machine Recipe



This is a wonderful low sodium bread recipe. A perfect everyday toast and sandwich bread, low in sodium and high in taste.

This low salt bread machine recipe uses 100% whole wheat flour. I recommend an organic brand, one that is free of chemical additives.

Low Sodium Whole Wheat Bread Machine Recipe

Whole Wheat Bread Goodness with your Bread Machine
Absolutely the most delicious Whole Wheat bread right from your bread machine! This recipe yields a 1 lb loaf

3 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup plus 3 T water
2 tsp vegetable oil
3 Tbs honey
2 1/4 tsp yeast
1 cup shredded wheat, mini or whole biscuits - it doesn't matter which shape
Heat the water and add the shredded wheat. Soak the biscuits a few minutes, until they are soft.

Measure all ingredients into your bread machine, and add the water with the shredded wheat. Be sure to set the crust setting to light, if you have that option.



Note be certain that your bread machine is set for the whole wheat cycle.

This is because whole wheat is a bit denser than all purpose flour, and requires a bit more time to rise. The whole wheat option will be a longer cycle than a general white bread cycle on most every home bread maker.
