Suggestions for Low Fat Sides


Low fat side dish recipes that are easy on the cook, yet enjoyable and healthy. Cooking lighter is not only necessary for most of us, but a simpler way of preparing fresh foods.

Fresh fruits and vegetables are practically perfect foods in and of themselves. With very few exceptions, most are close to fat-free in their natural states.

Low fat cooking is not challenging at all. Quite the opposite, in fact. Once you see where the fat creeps in it's quite easy to amend your cooking to be a lighter, more healthful fare.

Using plenty of herbs and spices eliminates the need for adding additional salt. When you are selecting the appropriate spice for your recipe, keep in mind the overall taste of the finished dish and ask yourself if the chosen herb will blend nicely with the recipe.
