Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage

Chop the onion. Reserve all. | | 2 | In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium heat and add the onion, cooking until almost brown. Transfer to your slow cooker. | | 3 | Into the slow cooker, add the broth, vinegar, sugar, thyme, and pepper. Now add the cabbage. Stir well and cover. Cook on low for 4 hours. | | 4 | Peel, core and chop the apple. | | 5 | After 4 hours, add the chopped apple and the raisins.
