Garlic French Baguette | (Garlic) Salt Free French Baguette | | | | | | 2 1/2 tsp | | dry yeast | | | 2 1/2 cups | | bread flour | | | 1 cup | | water | | | 1/2 tsp | | crushed garlic | | | 1 Tbs | | cornmeal | | | | | | | 1 | Place all ingredients, except the cornmeal, into your machine and set it for the dough cycle. (NOTE:the garlic is optional, but yummy!) | | 2 | When the dough is ready, remove it from the machine and knead it a few times by hand on a well-floured surface. Shape your loaf into a 12" long roll. | | 3 | On a baking sheet, sprinkle the cornmeal and place your loaf on the cornmeal. Cover and let rise for one hour in a warm setting. (We heat our oven to 125* for two minutes, turn it off, then use it as a draft-free rising location). | | 4 | After 40 minutes, preheat your oven to 375*. If using your oven to rise the dough, remove it first. | | 5 | When the loaf has doubled in size, bake it for 30 minutes, until when tapped lightly, it sounds hollow. Let cool on a wire rack. | | | | | Servings: 4 | | | | Nutrition Facts | | Serving size: 1 serving | | Percent daily values based on a 2000 calorie diet. | | Nutrition information calculated from recipe ingredients. | | | | | | | | | Amount Per Serving | | | | | Calories | | 323.90 | | | Calories From Fat (4%) | | 14.57 | | | | | % Daily Value | | Total Fat 1.61g | | 2% | | | Saturated Fat 0.23g | | 1% | | | Cholesterol 0.00mg | | 0% | | | Sodium 4.87mg | | 0% | | | Potassium 142.50mg | | 4% | | | Carbohydrates 64.64g | | 22% | | | Dietary Fiber 2.73g | | 11% | | | Sugar 0.28g | | | | | Sugar Alcohols 0.00g | | | | | Net Carbohydrates 61.91g | | | | | Protein 11.39g | | 23% | | | | | | | | | | | | |
