Easy to Fix Shrimp Appetizer Recipe

This simple to make shrimp appetizer recipe looks really great on your table. Shape it any way you please. Using a fish shape mold is really fun!

Use fresh, cooked shrimp readily available from your supermarket for this cold appetizer recipe.

If you choose to use frozen shrimp, be certain that it is fully defrosted and drained, or your mold may be runny.

Make this dish the day before you plan to serve it to allow the flavors to blend together.

Serve this shrimp and crab appetizer recipe with lots of crackers, or small slices of sourdough bread for spreading this dip onto.

Cold Appetizer Recipe - Shrimp Recipe

Shrimp Mold
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can low sodium cream of mushroom soup
16 oz Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
1 (.25-ounce) envelope unflavored gelatin, softened in
1/4 cup water
1 bunch green onions, chopped
2 lbs cooked shrimp, coarsely chopped
1 lb crab meat
1/2 cup low sodium mayonnaise
2 Tbs lemon juice
Tabasco, to taste
1 Heat soup, undiluted, and mix in the cream cheese. Stir in softened gelatin and blend well.
2 Fold in remaining ingredients and pour into a lightly-oiled mold of your choosing.
3 Chill until firm, overnight is best, and serve this shrimp appetizer with your favorite crackers.
