| 1 | Preheat oven to 375*. |
| 2 | In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and the 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy. |
| 3 | Add the eggs, one at a time and beat until well mixed. |
| 4 | Add the milk and vanilla. Mix well. |
| 5 | In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt and cream of tartar. Gradually mix this into the batter. |
| 6 | Form the dough into 1" balls and place on a cookie sheet spayed with non-stick spray or lined with parchment paper. |
| 7 | In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and the 3 TB sugar. With a moistened glass bottom, dip the glass into the sugar cinnamon and press each cookie slightly with the sugared bottom. Dip in sugar between each pressing. |
| 8 | Bake for 12 minutes, until the tops are lightly browned. |
| 9 | Remove from oven and let cool completely. |
