Swiss Chard With Figs

"Your guests won't guess how EASY this Swiss chard recipe is, and it cooks up so fast!"

On the table in under 15 minutes! This simple vegetarian recipe is one of our all time favorites for it's few ingredients and it's big taste.

Low sodium recipes, like this one, are easy to impress your guests and family with.

If Swiss type chard is not in season, you can easily substitute spinach.


Saute with Figs

 Sautéed Spinach or Chard with Figs
 
 
1 1/2 lbs    swiss chard  
1/2 cup    dried figs  
2 oz    blue cheese  
1/4 cup    pine nuts  
2 Tbs    olive oil  
 
1 Wash the leaves well.
2 In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the oil. Add the leaves and cook until wilted. Crumble the cheese and toss it into the skillet along with the figs an the nuts. Cook just until the cheese is melty (about 1-2 minutes). Serve.
